bip soup is the collaboration of two moscow-based electronic producers: andrey zots and petr serkin (dj betatester). the main idea behind the project is the realtime techno improvisation. in studio petr and andrey produce half-finished tracks, which can be controlled in realtime on gigs. extensive usage of nord modular g2 synthesizers helps them in programming unique modular constructions. so the answer on the question what and where appears in a matter of seconds, before the realization of musical or sound ideas begins. therefore each new live gig is a unique performance. different music predilections of duo members allow to vary musical program, which helps not to stay in limits of one music style

half cousin are a new outfit from the uk that do a quite unique blend of electro and folk. or thats the best we can describe it really.occupying the space between hot chip, junior boys and fujiya & miyagi it shouldnt be too surprising theyve roped in the latter to remix them.... what is surprising though, is that theyve got zero 7 delivering a smooth nu-disco mix as well and to top things off its colognes remixer du jour, justus kohncke with a 4/4 version for the floor.

being compared to &#147,dance machines, fuck friend is easily recognisable thanks to their enormous sounds between lo fi and post punk, metronomic distorted drums, some vintage keyboards, very heavy bass lines, and bitchees crystal like voice singing melodies inspired by what they call candy pop music, meaning cute songs sang by cute people. despite the projects young age, the band is already being supported by some of the greatest artists and djs: soulwax, digitalism, erol alkan, brodinski, css, bonde do role, mr flash, the teenagers, yuksek, mixhell, poney poney, benjamin diamond etc. fuck friend has been remixed by brodinsky & yuksek, mixhell (aka iggor cavalera from sepultura!) and css. dance machine is the word!

jacek sienkiewicz presents another unbelievably complex experiments in beat programming and string arrangement. this time, polands top techno producer known for his storming live sets goes over the edge, stretching minimal techno formula far beyond its limits and comes up with two epic tracks of enormous proportions. >the one< starts immediately with a stainless steel kick, but what seems to be a digital techno groove soon develops into a cosmic fairytale, with layers after layers of strings, bells and unidentified, but strangely organic sounds, executed with breathtaking complexity and almost obsessive attention to every tiny detail. sounds and emotions embraced within its almost 10 minutes are enough to fill a couple of albums.
